Eternal Board ("Eternal Board," "we," "us," or "our") operates the digital memorial platform at eternalboard.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Memorial content you provide. When you create a memorial, we collect the information you submit about the person being remembered — full name, dates of birth and passing, location, a portrait photo, gallery photos, an obituary or life story, a personal message, and any comments left by you or other visitors. This may include information about a deceased individual, submitted at your discretion and on your representation that you are authorized to share it.
Account and contact information. If you contact us, we collect your name and email address and the content of your message.
Payment information. We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our reseller and Merchant of Record, which collects billing details (such as email address, country, and postal code) directly. Usage data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.

2. How we use information

To create, host, and display the memorial pages you build
To process payments and manage tier upgrades, renewals, and cancellations, via Paddle
To generate QR codes and certificates linked to your memorial
To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your memorial or account
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or content that violates our Terms of Service
To maintain and improve the reliability and security of the Service

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

Paddle — processes payments and subscription billing as Merchant of Record.
Supabase — our database and hosting infrastructure provider, which stores memorial content on our behalf under its own security safeguards.
Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Eternal Board, our users, or the public.

4. Public memorial content

Memorial pages, including names, photos, dates, obituaries, and comments, are designed to be publicly viewable once payment is completed — that is the purpose of the Service. Please only submit content you are comfortable making public, and only content you have the right and authorization to share.

5. Data retention

We retain memorial content for as long as the associated tier remains active (for the Standard tier's annual subscription) or indefinitely (for lifetime tiers), unless you request removal. We may retain limited records after removal as required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of memorial content or personal information associated with an account by contacting us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask for information to verify your request.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use minimal browser storage (such as local storage) to remember basic preferences during your visit. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the countries where our service providers (such as Paddle and Supabase) operate their infrastructure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
